The inspiration behind A Pom’s World
We've had Pomeranians for over ten years. It started with Bella, a Pom mix we adopted from a shelter, and grew into a pack when Beignet arrived five years later.
Beignet is our first purebred Pomeranian, and the dog who made us realize how much we didn't know. A 4-lb wolf sable with a full double coat, strong opinions, and a deep commitment to being wherever his people are.
Our blue merle puppy Boqui rounded out the pack five years after that and is currently dismantling everything he can reach.
Three dogs, ten-plus years, a lot of products tested. We've bought the wrong brush, ended up with treats that caused tummy problems, and spent years fighting coat issues that turned out to be tool problems.
A Pom's World exists to be the resource we wished we'd had.
Every recommendation here has been used with our own pack, across puppy, adult, and senior life stages. If it earns a place in Beignet's routine, it earns a place here.
What we’ve learned
Most of what we've learned came from getting things wrong first: the brush that looked right but Beignet hated, the routine that turned into a battle, the grooming appointment where we realized there were hidden mats we were missing.
